Marion Crawford Prevention Programs is the community agency charged with the coordination of Drug Free Marion. This collaboration provides a wealth of knowledge and a distribution of work that enables Drug Free Marion to fulfill its mission through a blend of sound management, strong governance and a dedication to reducing youth alcohol, marijuana and vaping use. The staff of Marion Crawford Prevention Programs have extensive experience in drug prevention and coalition work. With the addition of a Coalition Coordinator, more community-based programming has occurred. The Coalition Coordinator is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the coalition, and works with subcommittees of the coalition on their respective goals.
The Drug Free Marion Coalition's mission is to empower and engage our community members to address substance abuse, misuse, and abuse through prevention, advocacy, collaboration, and education. Drug Free Marion intends to build capacity by building coalition membership and cultivating community stakeholders. Drug Free Marion will capture all the efforts conducted by the coalition and its partners that contribute to the changes identified on the coalition logic model. The coalition’s outputs capture all the new or changed processes, programs, programs, services, community resources, and media exposure that have resulted from the coalition’s efforts.
